Euroa Photographers is a group which is just starting. The direction it takes will depend on the people and their passions.
The goals are to share knowledge and inspire people to get more out of photography in their individual pursuit. Some people might be satisfied with having a great image on a computer. Some might want to be making money. Some might enjoy being in the field
Some seed ideas are: - monthly "meetings". Casual, friendly and flexible. Lots of visual content - competitions or theme nights - photo presentation and discussions. People could present some of their images and share their thoughts each meeting. Good for introductions and meeting people. - group photo shoots. There are great landscapes and loads of history in the area. Animals if you know where to look. Maybe some animal care groups? Night shots - techniques, tips and tricks. Could have a segment each month. People might present or simply put questions to the group - discussion around software tools for post production and managing images. What software is used and how to make the most out of it. - ideas for exhibiting photos & images. Thoughts on how to get images to places where other people can see them - on your wall, in galleries or shops? Being a professional photographer or getting paid for jobs. Other ways to make a dollar?
My initial thoughts were pitching the group at enthusiasts. DSLR users. Not necessarily experts, but people who are prepared to try the manual features of their camera. This can change and adapt to group/community desires
