Put Lightroom up on the projector. Looked at basic workflow – import, develop export. A bit of discussion around how it compares to other products eg Aperture and Pixelmator.
Could be an endless discussion, with endless notes, but simplest to consult the web for reviews and tutorials. Note there is a lot of self learning that can be done for free. Adobe publish tutorials eghttp://tv.adobe.com/.../getting-started-with-adobe.../ and there is heaps on Youtube
Photo Competition
A great theme with open rules lead to lots of submissions. Fantastic to see all the images on the page.
The Peoples Award had 2 winners – Tash R for the swimming dog photo and Catherine M (again!! Well done!) for the umbrella photo. Congratulations to both of you
Tash R, you get to choose the theme for the next meeting. Your rules!
The judges for the on-the-night award couldn’t reach a consensus. Lots of great images. Special mentions go to Michael F with the water reflection which looked like human images, Adam L with the mountains, Pete’s creek, Catherine Mosely’s umbrella shot and Natasha’s horse shots
